- Obtain a Food Handler's Badge or Permit before you start to sell.
- Display Badge or Permit at all times while selling.
- Practise personal hygiene: - do not scratch, sneeze, cough or smoke while handling food.
- Keep fingernails short and clean.
- Keep body clean: take daily baths.
- Wear clean overalls, coats, aprons and keep head covered at all times.
- Use tongs, spoons and forks to pick up food.
- Display food in clean and approved glass cases, trays, boxes and baskets.
- Cover Food: protect it from flies, rodents, roaches, dirt and dust.
- Do not handle food if sick.
- Serve all cooked food steaming ho and keep uncooked food chilled.
- Provide an adequate supply of potable running water.
- Use suitable covered container for garbage storage.
- Ensure that surroundings are clean.
- Mobile vehicles, trays, carts, boxes and other containers used for deliveries or sale of foodstuff must be painted, laminated or metal lined and easy to clean. These must be inspected and approved annually.
