- Carpool if you can- This reduces traffic and ensures that there may be the opportunity to share the responsibility of driving.

OUT ON THE NATION'S ROAD - DRIVING SAFETY
During the Carnival season persons are asked to be even more vigilant with increased alcohol consumption, tired party goers and many non nationals driving on the roads, the risk of accidents are greater. Therefore...

Around this time of year, the gyms overflowin’, Queen’s Park Savannah is packed and everybody is doing their version of pushups at home because that costume HAS to fit just right.
While exercise is good, please remember the following tips:
While exercise is good, please remember the following tips:
- Warming up and cooling down are critical to avoid muscle strains, sprains and extreme soreness.
- Be wary of “miracle” weight loss supplements etc. These may have serious short and/or long term effects.
- Do not starve yourself. While you may believe this is a good way to shed pounds, you need fuel for your workouts and not eating actually causes your body to go into starvation mode. This means it will hold onto to fat for dear life. Counterproductive right? So opt for several small meals high in protein and fiber instead. Avoid unhealthy fats and processed foods too.
- Know your LIMIT- Just because some persons at the gym can bench press 5000 pounds does not mean you should try to as well. Be careful…
AIRBORNE- TOURISTS
We love the fact that thousands of persons visit our Twin Island Republic to experience Carnival. However, please note the following:
- They may be unfamiliar with our culture and laws. Take the time to explain these matters to them.
- Be careful when exposing them to our foods. Most of our cuisine is heavily spiced. This may not be tolerated well.
- Ensure they practice proper hygiene and address any illnesses they may be experiencing responsibly.

Carnival Mathematics - Quick Algebra:

- Alcohol + You + ??? = Baby in November 2015

Let’s try to pace ourselves and balance really fun times with rest. It can make the difference between great memories or tragedies.
